Wellington Road reopens after watermain break

Traffic is flowing again on Wellington Road between Emery Street and Grand Avenue following a watermain break over the weekend.

City crews were called to that section of the busy street around 6 a.m. on Sunday. It took them the bulk of the day to repair the watermain. Traffic was detoured onto High Street until one lane in each direction was reopened roughly 12 hours later.

Lane reductions will remain in place for the morning commute on Monday.

One southbound and one northbound lane are still closed for paving.

All lanes should reopen Monday afternoon, according to a statement from the city.
