Red pickup sought in east London hit-and-run

Two days after a pedestrian was critically hurt in a hit-and-run in east London, police continue to search for the vehicle involved.

A red pickup truck was backing out of a driveway in the area of Hamilton Road and Redan Street around 6:15 p.m. on Saturday when it struck a 57-year-old woman. According to London police, the driver of the truck then pulled forward, driving over the woman before taking off eastbound on Hamilton Road.

The woman was rushed to hospital where, as of Monday morning, she remained in critical condition.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
