High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The London Knights defeated the Flint Firebirds 4-1 at the Dort Federal Event Centre on Saturday.
Both teams failed to score in the first period.
Josh Nelson scored the first goal of the game 14:13 into the second period.
Antonio Stranges and Jonathan Gruden scored just minutes apart in the third period, putting the Knights in the lead by three. Stranges scored his second goal of the game. Connor Roberts scored the only goal for the Firebirds 19:34 into the frame.
Knights goalie Brett Brochu saved 29 of 30 shots on net.
The Knights will face off against the Soo Greyhounds at the GFL Memorial Gardens on Sunday. Puck drops at 2:07 p.m.
