Two airlifted to hospital after separate crashes

Two people were airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following two separate crashes in the London region on Thursday.

The first crash happened at the intersection of Blyth Road and London Road, near Blyth around 2:30 p.m. A westbound vehicle collided with a northbound delivery truck.

The driver of the vehicle was flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The other driver was not hurt.

An hour and a half later, two vehicles collided on Colonel Talbot Road, just south of Highway 401. A woman had to be cut from the wreckage, according to London police.

She was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
