Oxford County crash claims life of driver

One person is dead following a three-vehicle crash north of Woodstock.

The Ontario Provincial Police said the three vehicles collided on 16th Line in East Zorra-Tavistock on Friday, shortly before 11:45 a.m.

A driver of one of the vehicles was rushed to hospital suffering from life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. The name of the driver is not being released at this time.

Two other people who were occupants in the vehicle were taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The road was closed while OPP West Region Traffic Collision Investigators attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The road has since been reopened to traffic.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
