Crash sends five to hospital

Five people were hurt when two vehicles collided near Talbotville Monday night.

Emergency crews were called to Sunset Drive between Longhurst Line and Talbot Line around 6 p.m.

A vehicle was attempting to make a left turn when it was rear-ended by another vehicle, Elgin OPP said. One person had to be cut from the wreckage.

Five people were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The road was temporarily closed while the vehicles and debris were cleared.

Police continue to investigate the collision and are asking anyone who may have witnessed it, who has not yet spoken to officers, to give them a call at 1-888-310-1122.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
