London grandmother wins $100K lotto prize

It was a very merry Christmas for a London grandmother of two after the 69-year-old retiree won big in a recent lottery draw.

Gulla Graham won $100,000 with Encore in the December 18 Ontario 49 draw. Graham matched the last six of the seven numbers in the exact order to take the sizable prize.

“I have no words. This is an amazing Christmas present," Graham said while picking up her cheque at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

Graham said she had no idea of her good fortune until her husband checked her ticket at a local gas station.

“When he told me the good news I was shocked and surprised," Graham said.

Graham already has big plans for her winnings, which include the purchase of a new vehicle, home renovations and helping funding her grandkids' education.

The winning ticket was purchased at an Adelaide Street Metro in London.
