London police were called around 11:40 p.m. Sunday after a Hyundai Elantra hit a building in a retail plaza at 1025 Wellington Rd. S.

"The female driver of the car continued to operate the vehicle out of the parking lot and drove southbound on Wellington Road," police said in a news release issued Monday. "The vehicle was stopped by officers on Bradley Avenue, and the driver was arrested."

A 50-year-old London woman is charged and will appear in court on January 21.
