Lightning derail Express 102-93

The Windsor Express fell 102-93 to the London Lightning at Budweiser Gardens on Thursday.

The Lightning took an 11-point lead by the end of the first quarter and extended their lead in the second to 59-41 heading into halftime. The Express bounced back slightly in the third, but London remained in the lead with a 72-66 advantage.  London kept up their pace in the final frame to hold the lead and win by nine points.

Xavier Moon led London with 27 points and nine rebounds, while Mareik Isom put up another 21 points and had 10 rebounds.

Shaquille Keith was the top scorer for Winsdor with 27 points and six rebounds, while Jordan Bowling and Kemy Osse both added 13 points each.

The Lightning will take on the KW Titans in London on Saturday at 7 p.m. Also on Saturday, the Express return home to face the Sudbury Five at 7 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
