Two charged after nearly $40K worth of fentanyl seized

Two Londoners are facing drug charges after a police raid at an east-end home turned up nearly $40,000 worth of fentanyl and cocaine.

London police searched a home on Leeds Cross, north of Commissioners Road East last Friday. Officers seized 177 grams of fentanyl, 504 grams of a suspected cutting agent, 103 hydromorphone pills, 1.5 grams of cocaine, a fentanyl press, a small quantity of fentanyl transdermal patches, and cell phones.

The drugs are valued at $38,931.

More than $13,000 cash was also found in the home.

A 30-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both of London, were charged with a combined 13 counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
