London man 'in shock' after 500K lotto win

A London man says he plans to travel and make some investments after winning $500,000 in a recent lottery.

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation announced Thursday that Antonio Manini, 79, of London won the Maxmillions prize in the January 3 Lotto Max draw.

The father of two and grandfather of three checked his ticket at a retailer and then called his daughter to relay the news through his own tears of joy.

“I’m still in shock and disbelief,” Antonio said.

Manini bought his winning ticket at the 7-11 on Western Road.
