Knights take a bite out the Wolves with 4-1 win

The London Knights topped the Sudbury Wolves 4-1 in OHL action on Friday.

The Wolves were first to score with a goal 9:27 into the game, but Jonathan Gruden tied things up for London with a goal just over a minute later.

The Knights extended their lead to 3-1 after Matvey Guskov and Ryan Merkley scored two back-to-back goals early in the second period. Guskov added another goal for London by scoring his second of the night with 44 seconds left in the frame. London held off the Wolves in the final period to win with a three-goal advantage.

London goaltender Brett Brochu made 28 saves out of 29 shots on net.

The Knights are back on the ice on Sunday to battle the Erie Otters. The puck drops at 2 p.m. in London.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
