Fire engulfs London townhouse

Fire officials are investigating after a blaze broke out in a townhouse in London's Glen Cairn neighbourhood.

The London Fire Department first reported the fire on Kimberly Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. on Tuesday and said the townhouse was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.  Fire crews worked to control the spread of the fire and were able to bring it under control. They remained on scene overnight dousing hot spots.

One person was assessed by paramedics for smoke inhalation.

Damage is considered extensive, but a damage estimate has not been released at this time.

A fire investigator has attended the scene to determine the origin and cause of the blaze. The Ontario Fire Marshal's Office has also been contacted.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
