Knights bury Bulldogs 4-1

The London Knights earned their fifth straight win with a 4-1 victory over the Hamilton Bulldogs on Friday.

Jonathan Gruden kicked off the game for London with a goal 2:28 into the first period, and Connor McMichael added another goal late in the frame to give the Knights a 2-0 lead. The Bulldogs scored 15:16 into the second to cut London's lead in half, but Luke Evangelista answered back with a goal for London 1:46 into the third.  Gruden scored his second goal of the night with 10 seconds left in the game to cap off the win for the Knights.

Knights goaltender Brett Brochu made 35 saves out of 36 shots on net.

The Knights will look to extend their winning streak when they take on the Guelph Storm on Sunday. The puck drops at 2 p.m. in London.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
