Two charged in $200K drug bust

A man and a woman face several charges after London police seized over two kilograms of methamphetamine.

Officers with the Guns and Drugs section raided addresses on Sterling Street, Trafalgar Street, and Third Street on Wednesday. They seized 2.02 kilograms of methamphetamine, 13 grams of cocaine, seven grams of hashish, 10 grams of marijuana, and dozens of opiate pills. They also seized $905 in cash, a cell phone, and two digital scales.

A 49-year-old London man is charged with seven counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

A 47-year-old woman is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
