Police seek suspect in Citi Plaza armed robbery

London police are turning to the public for help after an armed robbery at Citi Plaza over the weekend.

A man walked into a store inside the downtown mall around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, picked up a number of items, and attempted to leave without paying. He was quickly stopped by a loss-prevention officer, at which point the pair got into a struggle.

The man is alleged to have pulled a knife before taking off.

The loss-prevention officer suffered minor injuries in the scuffle.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 20-25 years old, approximately 5’5” tall, with a thin build, dirty blond hair in a bun with shorter hair on the sides and back of his head. He was wearing blue pants, a green puffy-style jacket, a white sweater or hoodie, dark shoes, and was carrying a cooler bag with the name “Lynn” on the side.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
