Knights top IceDogs 5-2

The London Knights remain undefeated after nine games following a 5-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs on Tuesday.

After a scoreless first period, Jonathan Gruden scored 12:29 into the second to kick things off for the Knights. Hunter Skinner added another for London late into the frame to give the Knights a 2-0 lead heading into the third.

Max McCue and Liam Foudy both scored in the final frame to extend London's lead to 4-0 with just over eight minutes left in the game.  The IceDogs made it on the board with two back-to-back goals to cut London's lead in half, but Alec Regula added one more unanswered goal for the Knights in the final minutes to cap off their win.

London goalie Brett Brochu made 22 saves out of 24 shots on net.

The Knights return home on Friday to battle the Saginaw Spirit at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
