Three charged in Woodstock-London weapons investigation

Weapons-related charges have been laid against three men after a joint investigation by Woodstock and London police.

Officers flooded Avondale Road in London's Argyle neighbourhood around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday after tracking two wanted men to the area. The Woodstock police criminal investigations unit and the drug and intelligence unit learned of the men's whereabouts while investigating incidents that took place in that city over the past few months.

The two men were arrested with the help of the London police emergency response unit. They, along with a third man, have been charged with what police are calling "weapons-related offences."

“Investigations sometimes lead us into different jurisdictions and we appreciate the service that the London Police Service was able to provide to us,” said Woodstock police inspector Marci Shelton.

No other details about the investigation have been released.
