Crash involving transport sends one to hospital

Provincial police are looking for witnesses to a crash involving a transport truck north of Strathroy that sent one person to hospital with serious injuries on Tuesday.

A pickup truck and a tractor trailer collided at Centre Road and Egremont Drive, north of Highway 402 around 1:45 p.m. The pickup driver was rushed to hospital with injuries considered to be life-threatening. The driver's condition has since improved.

The trucker was not hurt.

Middlesex OPP are asking anyone who may have seen the two-vehicle collision to call them at 1-888-310-1122.

The investigation is ongoing.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
