Strathroy police seize $31K worth of cocaine, meth

Three people are facing charges after a raid at a Strathroy home last week turned up more than $31,000 worth of cocaine and methamphetamine.

Strathroy-Caradoc police, with assistance from the OPP crime unit and London police K9 unit, searched a home on Richmond Street last Wednesday. Officers seized 132 grams of methamphetamine, 101 grams of crack cocaine, 83 grams of cocaine, a digital scale, and three cellphones. More than $1,200 in cash was also found.

A 27-year-old man and a 45-year-old man, both from Strathroy, and a 37-year-old woman from London have been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. An additional charge of trafficking in a Schedule 1 substance was also laid against the 27-year-old man.

The trio is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on March 27.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
