Deadpool actor to headline Forest City Comicon

The actor best known for playing giant silver mutant Colossus in the Golden Globe nominated film "Deadpool" will headline this summer's Forest City Comicon.

Stefan Kapicic was announced this week as the featured guest at the June 27 event at Centennial Hall.

“Colossus is just one small part of Stefan’s story,” convention host Jeremy Bushell said in a statement. “Forest City ComiCon prides itself on a unique panel experience and with Stefan it is guaranteed to be one of a kind. No one plays the room better than Stefan.”

In addition to Colossus, Kapicic has portrayed more than 80 characters in both film and television. He has appeared in AMC’s Better Call Saul, Netflix's Love, Death, and Robots, Ridley Scott’s Numb3rs, and Fox’s 24. Kapicic also lent his voice to James in the Serbian dubs of Pokemon.

Forest City Comicon, now in its seventh year, is billed as a celebration of nerd and geek culture for all-ages. It includes a wide variety of artists, exhibitors, cosplay, vendors, panels presentations, board games, and video game tournaments. Early-bird tickets for the event on sale at www.ForestCityComiCon.ca until May 9.
