St. Thomas man wanted for kicking, dumping coffee on woman

Assault charges have been laid against a St. Thomas man accused of kicking and pouring coffee on a woman during an argument in the downtown.

A man and two women were standing in a vacant lot outside of a Talbot Street restaurant on Tuesday when the women got into a verbal argument, St. Thomas police said.

It was during this disagreement when the boyfriend of one of the women allegedly kicked and dumped coffee on the other woman. Police did not specify whether the 33-year-old woman was hurt during the incident.

A 22-year-old St. Thomas man is now wanted for assault and assault with a weapon.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
