Knights double Greyhounds 4-2

The London Knights capitalized in the third period to earn a 4-2 victory over the Soo Greyhounds on Friday.

Jonathan Gruden put London on the board late in the first period, but the Soo scored one of their own 2:52 into the second to tie the game. Liam Foudy responded by scoring less than 30 seconds later to retake the lead for London.

Jason Willms scored out of the gate for the Knights in the third period and Alec Regula added another to give London a three-goal lead with less than 20 seconds left in the game. The Greyhounds were able to score on one final goal with three seconds left on the clock, but London still held the advantage for the win.

Knights goaltender Brett Brochu made 26 saves out of 28 shots on net.

The Knights are on the road on Sunday to take on the Erie Otters at 2 p.m.
