Woodstock resident finds strange man sleeping on kitchen floor

A Woodstock resident is likely still getting over the shock of finding a strange man sleeping on his kitchen floor in the middle of a Tuesday afternoon.

The Woodstock Police Service said the 60-year-old George Street resident walked into his kitchen on Tuesday at around 1:53 p.m., and found the man passed out on the floor.  The man eventually woke up and was removed from the residence by the homeowner.  Police were called but the man had left the area before officers arrived.

Police said it's believed the man was intoxicated at the time, but how he was able to gain entry into the home has not been released.

The suspect is described as being 6'1" tall, with a grey goatee. He was last seen wearing a light coloured jacket and grey or beige knitted toque.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call police at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 421-TIPS (8477).
