Stabbing suspect sought in Woodstock

Police in Woodstock are searching for a 34-year-old man wanted in connection with a stabbing in the downtown.

Officers were called to a home in the area of Dundas Street and Huron Street around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday. There they found a man suffering from facial and lower body injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

An arrest warrant has since been issued for Zackery Ziegler, 34, of Woodstock. He is facing charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, assault, and breach of probation.

Anyone who spots Ziegler or knows of his whereabouts is asked not to approach him, but to call police immediately at 519-537-2323.
