Garage fire spreads to neighbouring homes

Fire officials are investigating after a garage fire caused significant damage to two London homes.

The London Fire Department first reported the blaze at 1935 Wavell Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday. While firefighters were able to eventually bring the fire under control, the fire spread to the homes on either side of the garage and both sustained substantial damage.

The families in both homes were able to get out of their homes safely and were not injured.

A fire investigator will be attending the scene to determine the origin, cause and circumstances of the fire.

No further information has been released at this time.
