Police investigate fatal motorcycle crash in St. Thomas

St. Thomas police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred just before 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Officers determined that an SUV travelling southbound on Sunset Dr. near Wilson Ave. crossed the centre line and struck an oncoming motorcycle.

The 60-year-old male and the driver of the motorcycle and a 22-year-old female passenger were transported to St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital with serious injuries. The male, who was from the Courtright area was pronounced upon arrival. A 59-year-old St. Thomas woman, and driver of the SUV was also taken to STEGH to be treated for injuries.

Sunset Drive from Elm Street to Southdale Line remains closed while police continue the investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
