Police called after explosives found in south London

The London police bomb squad is working to safely detonate several explosives after they were discovered in the city's south end.

The London Police Service said on Tuesday at around 11 a.m., officers were called to an area on Colonel Talbot Road near Highway 401, after dated construction-related explosives were discovered on a local property.

Police said there is no threat to public safety.

The London Police Explosive Disposal Unit is expected to remain at the scene until the explosives have been properly disposed of.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
