Three charged in Woodstock drug bust

One man and two women have been charged after police seized around $35,000 worth of drugs, cash, and stolen property in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Police Service said officers executed two search warrants at addresses in the city on Friday following an investigation by the Criminal Intelligence/Drug Enforcement Unit.

Police seized crystal methamphetamine, hydromorphone, stolen property, and cash during the raids.

As a result, Linda Staelens, 58, Danielle Patry, 39, and Cory Gigault, 39, were arrested. The three have been jointly charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, along with drug and Criminal Code offences.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
