Two charged in weapons, drug seizure

London police say two people face charges after officers seized a sawed-off shotgun, ammunition, and narcotics in a raid in the east end.

Officers searched a home on Mornington Avenue on Wednesday. They seized a 12 gauge sawed-off shotgun, 29 rounds of ammunition, six prohibited knives, 20 grams of fentanyl, three Percocet pills, two cell phones, and about $5,225 in cash.

A 43-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman from London face several charges, including possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, unsafe storage of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited firearm.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
