Carload of flashers pulled over, impaired driving charge laid

A call to police about a carload of people flashing their genitals from a vehicle that was being driven "erratically" in Oxford County has led to drunk driving charges against a Newmarket man.

Oxford OPP received several complaints about a vehicle on County Road 13 in Norwich Township around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

"It was reported that the vehicle was driving erratically and the occupants were observed hanging out of the sunroof and passenger windows, exposing themselves," police said.

Officers were able to stop the vehicle without incident on Plank Line.

The 30-year-old male driver of the vehicle was arrested. He is now charged with impaired driving, driving with a blood alcohol concentration of over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, careless driving, and driving a vehicle with an open container of liquor.

No charges were laid against the three passengers.
