Charges laid in stabbing, robbery in Pond Mills-area

Charges have been laid against a man and three teenage girls after one person was stabbed and another hurt during a violent robbery in the Pond Mills area.

A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were walking along Pond Mills Road near Thompson Road around 11:30 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by three teen girls and a man. The victims were followed along a path while the suspects made threats and demanded money from the 16-year-old, London police said.

The male suspect is alleged to have pulled a knife and stabbed the 20-year-old and threatened the 16-year-old. The victims handed over money and personal items and the four suspects took off.

The 20-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, while the 16-year-old suffered unspecified minor injuries.

Police tracked down and arrested four suspects nearly an hour later.

Marshall James Green, 20, of London is charged with armed robbery, assault causing bodily harm, and failure to comply with an undertaking.

Two 17-year-old girls and a 16-year-old girl, who cannot be named because of their ages, are charged with assault.
