Two charged after road rage results in crash

Two people have been charged following an act of road rage in Norfolk County sent a vehicle off the road and into a ditch.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Sunday shortly before 7:18 p.m., two vehicles were travelling east along Highway 24 East when both drivers began repeatedly passing each other. At one point, as one of the drivers was attempting to pass, the other driver swerved causing the driver of the passing vehicle to hit the gravel shoulder and lose control of the vehicle.

The vehicle left the road and entered a ditch but was able to drive back onto the road after colliding with several trees. Both drivers then began arguing until police arrived.

As a result, a 55-year-old and a 49-year-old from Norfolk County have been charged with careless driving.
