UPDATE: OPP investigate fatal Hwy. 2 crash

Middlesex OPP are investigating a fatal collision involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle on Saturday night.

The two-vehicle crash happened on Highway 2 (Dundas Street) around 8:15 p.m. between London and Thamesford.

Provincial police initially said the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries. However, a post on Twitter shortly later specified that the collision was fatal.

Dundas Street between Purple Hill Road and Heritage Road was closed for an extended period of time as police investigate. It has since reopened.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to call OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
