Simcoe resident finds pet cat dead in trash bag

Provincial police are investigating after a Simcoe resident found their pet cat dead inside of a garbage bag.

The resident made the grim discovery after opening a trash bag left on the front porch of their Grenada Drive home around 3:14 p.m. on Friday.

It is not known how the cat died, police said.
