Music equipment stolen from St. Thomas church

Police in St. Thomas are investigating after thieves broke into a local church and made off with musical equipment and alcohol.

The break-in at Gospel Hall on Sunset Drive happened sometime between last Thursday and Saturday afternoon.

According to police, the suspects got into the building through a sliding glass window on the north side of the church. They then proceeded to rummage through a number of rooms before stealing the equipment and alcohol.

The value of the stolen equipment has not been released.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
