Two men shot in attempted murder in downtown Strathroy

Police are searching for a suspect after two men showed up at hospital with gunshot wounds in a suspected attempted murder in downtown Strathroy.

The pair were shot in an alley behind Frank Street on Sunday. They were dropped off at Strathroy hospital with non-life threatening injuries around 6:30 p.m.

The men were then transferred to a London hospital. One was treated and released, the other was kept for observation.

Strathroy-Caradoc police don't believe this was a random incident and have classified it as an attempted murder.

Investigators have identified a suspect in the case. He is described as a white male, 22-25 years of age, 5’5”, 130 pounds, with black hair and no shirt. He was last seen running northbound on Frank Street.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
