Arrest warrant issued for Strathroy shooting suspect

Strathroy-Caradoc police have identified a suspect wanted in connection with a shooting that sent two men to hospital.

The men, aged 24 and 30, were shot in an alley off of Frank Street on Sunday. They were dropped off at Strathroy hospital around 6:30 p.m. with non-life threatening injuries, before being transferred to London hospital for treatment. Both men have since been released from hospital.

According to investigators, they are getting "little cooperation" from the two victims and the gun used in the shooting has yet to be found.

On Tuesday, police announced an arrest warrant had been issued for Alexandre Andre Allie, 25, of Strathroy-Caradoc. He is wanted for 19 offences including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, and failure to comply with release order.

Police are continuing to search for Allie and advise anyone who may see him not to approach, but to call 911.

The shooting is not believed to have been a random incident, police previously said.
