No new COVID-19 cases in London, Middlesex

The total number of COVID-19 cases in London and Middlesex County did not change Tuesday.

The Middlesex London Health Unit said Tuesday that there were no new cases confirmed in the previous 24 hours, leaving the region's case count at 722. Of those, 633 people have recovered.

No new deaths were reported Tuesday. The death toll has not changed in more than two months, as the last COVID-19 related death in London and Middlesex County was reported on June 12.

Southwestern Public Health, the health unit for Elgin and Oxford counties, reported one new case on Tuesday. The two counties have seen a combined total of 248 cases.

Provincially, 100 new cases were confirmed on Tuesday. That brings the province's total to 41,607. Of those, 37,748 cases are considered resolved.

Two new deaths were also announced, bringing the provincial death toll to 2,800.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
