Provincial police in Elgin County say a body found in the Port Burwell area is that of a missing boater from Dutton.
Elgin OPP say a body was found by a jogger along the shore of Lake Erie near Port Burwell around 7 p.m. Friday. The body was found just west of the Port Burwell Provincial Park beach area.
Police have determined that the body is that of Reginald Fisher, 77, of Dutton.
He was last seen around 3 p.m. on September 17 as he left the Port Glasgow area in his sailboat. The next day, he was reported as being overdue to return and a search was launched. His sailboat was later found capsized in the water.
