Police investigating after man stabbed

Police are looking for a suspect after a man suffered a stab wound in London's east end.

The London Police Service said on Friday at around 5 p.m., officers responded to a call about a stabbing in the area of Highbury Avenue North and Oxford Street East. Police located a man who appeared to have been stabbed and applied a tourniquet. Once EMS arrived, paramedics took the man to hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said early Friday evening that they did not have anyone in custody but there is no risk to public safety. Police added that the incident does not appear to be random.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
