Woman charged after OPP officer assaulted

A 30-year-old woman is accused of assaulting a police officer in Ingersoll.

The OPP were called to a home on Bond Street around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday after a woman refused to leave.

The person, who appeared intoxicated, was arrested and taken to the local detachment, Oxford OPP said.

During the ongoing investigation, the woman is alleged to have assaulted an officer.

She has since been charged with assaulting a peace officer and will make a future appearance in Woodstock court in relation to the charge.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
