Woman followed, chased by man in Norfolk

A woman walking in Simcoe was forced to run to a nearby house for help after she was followed and then chased by an unknown man.

The woman was headed south along Colborne Street South around 11:25 p.m. on Monday when she noticed a vehicle without any lights following her. It was at this point the driver got out of the vehicle and began to run after the woman, Norfolk OPP said.

The woman immediately ran to a nearby house for help.

The driver got back into his vehicle and left the area. He is described as a man with a heavy build. He was wearing a red hat, a black sweater and blue pants. The vehicle is described as a 2005 older model white, four door Subaru.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who has video surveillance that may have captured the suspect and vehicle to call them at 1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
