Man hurt, woman arrested in stabbing

A man was taken to hospital after a stabbing across from London police headquarters on Tuesday morning.

Police were called to Dundas Street near Adelaide Street around 8:15 a.m. According to police, a man was inside his apartment building when he saw a woman he didn't recognize. Knowing that she wasn't a resident, he asked her to leave. There was an argument and the man was stabbed. He was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was arrested shortly after officers arrived on scene.

Georgia Waliha Ireland, 48, of London is charged with aggravated assault and uttering threats of death or bodily harm  the following Criminal Code offences:

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
