Two charged in $460K drug bust

Two people are facing charges after London police officers seized over $460,000 worth of fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with $200,000 in cash, gold, and jewellery.

Officers raided homes on Alayne Crescent and Mornington Avenue on Wednesday. They seized 1.703 kilograms of methamphetamine, 1.226 kilograms of fentanyl, and one gram of suspected carfentanil. Police say the drugs are worth a combined $460,020.

Police also seized $100,000 in cash, $100,000 in gold and jewellery, a Dodge Ram pickup truck worth $60,000, six cellular phones, and a money counter.

A 31-year-old London man is charged with five counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. A 48-year-old London woman is charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
