Update: Adelaide St. re-opened after firearm investigation

London police say they have re-opened a section of Adelaide Street that had been closed because of a weapons investigation.

Police were called around 10:40 a.m. Sunday about a man who may have been armed with a gun outside a home on Adelaide Street in the area of Hamilton Road. Homes in the area were evacuated as police searched the area.

Adelaide Street was closed between Hamilton Road and Nelson Street.

Just after 2 p.m., police announced that they had completed a search of a home and did not find any firearms.

Adelaide Street has re-opened in the area.
