One person killed in crash north of London

A two-vehicle crash north of London has left one person dead and another with minor injuries.

The vehicles collided head-on on Elginfield Road between Highbury Avenue and Stonehouse Line just before 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

Middlesex OPP had been looking for one of the vehicles moments prior to the crash.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to hospital where one later died from their injuries. No name has been released.

Elginfield between Highbury Avenue and Stonehouse Line was closed for much of the morning as police investigated the cause of the collision. It has since re-opened.

"[The crash] was on a straight path of the roadway. Our officers are on scene and in the preliminary stages of the investigation," said Howe.
