Daughter's ashes stolen from father's car

London police are trying to track down the person who broke into a vehicle in Wortley Village, stealing the ashes of the owner's deceased daughter.

Police were called about a suspicious vehicle parked with its doors left open in the area of Langarth Street and Wortley Road Friday morning. When officers arrived they found the owner standing beside the vehicle. He told officers that sometime overnight someone had busted into the car and stole his daughter’s ashes along with some cash.

The ashes were inside of a bag in a box left in the car. The box used to hold the ashes was left behind, police said.

Currently, there is no description of the suspect.
