Two-vehicle crash causes major delays in east London

Police are investigating a crash that left one person hurt in east London.

Two vehicles collided shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday on Oxford Street East just east of Highbury Avenue.

One person suffered minor injuries.

There are reports one of the drivers took off from the scene following the collision.

Police closed the eastbound lanes of Oxford while determining the cause of the crash, causing major slowdowns for drivers during the morning commute. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
