UPDATE: Weapons investigation resolved with no injuries

No injuries have been reported and charges are not anticipated following a weapons investigation on Saturday night that briefly closed two roadways.

London police asked residents to avoid certain areas of Talbot Street and Sherwood Avenue around 9:20 p.m.

Talbot Street between Regent and Victoria streets, as well as Sherwood Avenue between Lombardo Avenue and St. George Street, were closed for a short period of time.

All of the closed streets reopened around 10:22 p.m. once the situation was resolved.

London police said there was no risk to public safety and are thanking the public for their cooperation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
